Microblading / Feathering technique and Powder Brows

Micro blading / feathering is the most natural looking semi-permanent makeup method. Pigments are mixed to suit each skin tone, existing brow colour or personal preference. Strokes are tattooed behind existing hair to create a fuller brow and fill in sparse areas you may have. Micro blading technology uses a hand tool. It is NOT block, it's a 3D finish. Another option is powder tattoo which is a solid colour which once healed looks like brow powder.

The appointment can take up to 2.5 hours, the first half hour a numbing cream is applied. We will then draw on your brows and measure them to correct the symmetry of your brows and face, but remember "EYEBROWS ARE SISTERS NOT TWINS", no one’s brows are symmetrical but with this technique we can correct your brows to the closest possible. Tattooing will only begin when you are in love with the shape. The actual tattoo process can take ½ an hour to an hour. I ask that you attend your appointment alone as it is a sterile work environment.

Everyone’s healed result can vary and certain skin types hold differently to the pigment and the tattoo can last from 4 months to 2 years. The perfecting session 4-8 weeks after is very important to check how your tattoo is going and if there’s anything we need to perfect as everyone heals differently and some strokes can drop out.

Tattooing can last a shorter or longer period depending on your skin type (It does not last as long as a block tattoo) This is because we are creating fine, delicate strokes so make it look as natural as possible. Other factors that play a role in longevity are skin colour, pigment used, thickness of the lines, and mostly how aggressive your immune system is in metabolising the pigment. Factors such as sun exposure, some skin creams and lotions, exfoliating treatments, medications / illnesses and many similar factors can affect fading of your tattooing. I suggest clients have a refresh treatment every 12months to keep the shape looking its best! (However no guarantees are offered or implied in regards to how long it will last before you need to have your refresh appointment.)

Your eyebrows will appear to be darker and feel thicker for the first week. You may get some peeling after this, so it's recommended to plan ahead and make sure you have your eyebrows tattooed at least 3 weeks prior to any BIG event. Your eyebrow tattoo service is an investment, so it is important to understand the healing is a delicate process and you must follow aftercare very strictly and be patient for best results. You will then have your perfecting session in (4-8weeks). We can then assess how you've healed and make any necessary changes or adjustments. This session really does just finish off the eyebrows perfectly, and ensures longer lasting results.

Full healing process can take up to 5/8weeks.

The first 10-14days are crucial for the healing process. The eyebrows and should be kept clean & dry during this time - Other than the aftercare cream provided to you, in which you will GENTLY and LIGHTLY coat the eyebrows regularly during this time. This keeps your new tattoo hydrated and assists with the healing .NO swimming, saunas, steam, sweat, makeup or products. Avoiding the sun while they are fresh is also very important.

Photos will be taken before & after for reference and with your permission may be used for advertising purposes. Pricing

Cover ups / complete correction of someone else's work needs to be seen and quoted, the price can be more than a first timer as there is more work, time and skill required.

If you are a new client and have existing hair-stroke tattooing and need a colour refreshment and no correction to shape ect then you can come in for the two sessions at $450. But please send me a clear photo so we can clarify that you fall under this category.

For bookings a $100 Deposit is required for any tattoo appointment. This then goes toward any treatment cost on the day.

We require 48 hours notice for tattoo appointment changes and if cancelled within 48hrs your deposit will be forfeited, this is to stop timewasters (sadly they do exist).

Contraindications of this service-

There are some people who are not suitable for the procedure and these include people who are Pregnant or Breast Feeding, if you are undergoing chemotherapy, any current eye infections and certain blood disorders (a doctor’s certificate is required). If you have been on acne medication you will need to wait 6 months from finishing your course before tattooing.

OILY SKIN: those who have an oilier skin don't hold pigment as well as others. You can still have this service, but need to be aware your skin may not hold pigment as well or your hair strokes may not stay as crisp. We reccomend the Powder Brow method for oilt skin types.

DIABETES: (sometimes have trouble with healing)

KELOID SCARRING: (It is not advisable )

MEDICATION: Please check with me first as many types of medication can thin the blood, if you bleed a lot during your procedure you may not get the best results., Please also stop vitamins 48hrs prior to treatment.

LITHIUM (Cosmetic tattooing has been shown not to hold well with those taking this medication)

COMMUNICABLE DISEASES

ALLERGIES: to Lignocaine/Tetracaine.- These ingredients are found in the numbing

HEART PROBLEMS: Please get Doctors approval.

FLU OR COLD: Please contact me immediately if you are unwell.

CANCER/ CHEMO: Doctor's clearance is necessary.

PREGNANY OR BREAST FEEDING MUMS: Cosmetic Tattooing is not advisable.

SHINGLES: (varicella): If you have shingles on your face, wait several months to get this service.

BOTOX: (You are best to have your tattooing first) or wait until Botox has settled.

AHA’s:(lactic, glycolic, citric, retinoic and tartaric acids) or any OTC creams and lotions for tone correcting, anti-aging, exfoliating, fading can discolour your eyebrows.

PREVIOUS TATTOOING: If you have previous tattooing you must inform me at time of booking and send me a current photo of your eyebrows, with details of how many times you've had them done and when the last procedure was. Whether or not I can look after you will depend on what you currently have left in your skin.

ALCOHOL: You cannot have any alcohol 48hours prior to your procedure

FAKE TAN: Please don’t wear this to your appointment

The topical anaesthetic used contains Lignocaine, Tetracaine Prilocaine and Epinephrine (adrenalin) so any allergies to these and the anaesthetic cannot be used. You are welcome to do a patch test to check and this will incur a $25 cost on top of treatment. The treatment can be done without anaesthetic but is much more comfortable with it.
